I love this time of year when it just starts to get nice out and we can actually start planning and getting excited about summer. June 23 will be our first night in the tent....Great American Backyard Camping Night.

Welcome

I appreciate great photography. I am a novice, but I want to grow. As with all things, growth occurs with practice.

Starting January 1, 2012, this site will document my growth over a year. My January Challenge will be Black and White and I hope to find some folks who will join me. I am hoping that we can critique each other's work in a friendly, yet honest forum. My hope is that each of these themes will push me into a different area of photography and hopefully, you too!

My aim is to keep it simple. I will post my daily picture and folks can leave theirs with a link in the comment section.

The themes for the year will be as follows:

April: Colors

May: Get Outside

June: Abstracts

July: Patterns

August: Sky & Water
